Ankur DFW was formed as a non-profit organization, primarily to organize Bengali & Indian, social and cultural programs in the Dallas Fort Worth area, including annual Durga Puja Festival which upholds the ethos of Bengali community, diversity, and inclusion.
The main purpose of Ankur is to promote the cultural and educational activities of Bengal and Eastern India, especially amongst the second and later generation immigrants of Indian origin, foster a spirit of friendship and cooperation between its members through social activities, and highlight the cultural heritage of India, especially Bengal and Eastern India, in its external activities.
